Jacksonville Jaguars' Pro Bowl tight end Marcedes Lewis has been a part of some eclectic and untraditional videos this past week. From reliving his past to doing his best Babe Ruth impersonation (making a bold prediction), Lewis certainly hasn’t been board.
In case you haven’t seen it, Lewis is part of a web extra promoting a new docu-reality show Current TV called "4th and Forever."
The show focuses on Long Beach Polytechnic High’s (Calif.) storied football program and it premieres May 26 at 9. The segment with Lewis has him reflecting on his time at the school and what the environment outside of school was like.
Lewis was in the news the other day for something a little less touching and a bit more provocative.
"The Jaguars will make the playoffs, and Dave will be our quarterback,” Lewis said.
Jacksonville fans have to love the confidence that Lewis brings, but I’m skeptical as to whether or not Garrard will be an integral part of the team by the time the playoffs start, but I digress.
The best part of the video is whenever Glazer and Lewis are grappling with each other; it’s hilarious to see the size contrast in the two. Or maybe it’s just the gallons of sweat dropping off of Lewis. Seriously though, it’s a good video and it’s interesting to see this training method.
Players like Minnesota DE Jared Allen and LB Clay Matthews practice MMA during the offseason, so it warrants a look to see if this training will help him be even more explosive in 2011.Tags: Football, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Jaguars, Marcedes Lewis, NFL, NFL Lockout
