Undrafted LSU running back Richard Murphy will be picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars when the NFL lockout is over, reports Krysten Oliphant of The News Star (Monroe, La.).
Like all other rookies, Murphy will have to patiently wait for the lockout to end before he can officially begin his NFL career.
"It's been kind of frustrating," Murphy said. "You know where you want to go and where your job is, but you just can't go to your job."
Murphy (6-1, 204) was rarely used by the Tigers, accumulating just 85 yards on 25 carries as a senior. He was impressive as a freshman in 2007, rushing for 230 yards on 35 carries (6.6 YPC) and two touchdowns, but strong depth at the position and a knee injury in 2009 prevented him from earning more playing time.
The 24-year-old does possess some enticing skills. He is quick given his height and is a pretty physical runner.
