Jaguars 101 steps away from all of the intense free agency talk to get into a little lighter subject…Madden 2012.
The enormously popular football video game came out with team rankings recently and the Jacksonville Jaguars are ranked 75 overall.
“Maurice Jones-Drew leads the way with a 95 overall and 94 speed (not to mention, 89 trucking), but when your leading wide receiver is only an 80 overall, you might have some problems throwing for too many yards, even if with a stud tight end catching the ball over the middle.”
Jacksonville’s rating may not be great but it’s pretty much on par with the team’s national perception. Until the Jaguars improve defensively, they will be regarded as a mediocre squad at best and this rating (although far from scientific) shows that. At least Jones-Drew got the respect he deserves and received a high rating, although the trucking should be a bit higher.
The Indianapolis Colts take top honors in the AFC South according to Madden, as Peyton Manning and his boys are rated 85 overall. Tennessee is projected as a cellar dweller with a 73 overall rating.
