The Jacksonville Jaguars were able to get a deal done with rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert, just in time for him to practice with the team this evening at the Jaguars' first evening session of training camp.
Gabbert, the 10th overall selection of the 2011 NFL Draft, is considered the future of the franchise and could immediately compete for playing time against incumbent starter David Garrard.
In his past two years as a starter at Missouri, he completed 578 of 933 passes for 6,822 yards and 40 touchdowns.
The Jaguars also signed rookie offensive guard Will Rackley, who is also expected to contribute this season.
