The free agent frenzy that has been the Jacksonville Jaguars' offseason continued today as the Jaguars reportedly signed punter Matt Turk and defensive back Drew Coleman.
This news has been somewhat shadowed by the addition of safety Dawan Landry, but Turk and Coleman will serve their purpose.
Turk, 43, agreed to terms with the Jaguars on Thursday and he will be the top candidate to replace Adam Podlesh, who signed with the Chicago Bears.
A former Pro Bowler (1996-1998), Turk is past his prime but still is serviceable. He spent the last four years with the Houston Texans and will compete with rookie Brian Saunders out of Virginia Tech.
Coleman, formerly of the New York Jets, has been a solid reserve the past five years and will make a strong impact as a nickle corner and special teams player. He reportedly came to terms with the Jaguars on Friday evening.
