It should be an extremely entertaining 2011 training camp for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From mysterious car wrecks, to rookie saviors dazzling fans with just one completion, it’s been a fun start anyways.

Top Five Storylines:

1.) With Blaine Gabbert, The Future Is Now- In just one day, the 10th overall pick has managed to provoke salivation amongst fans and media members alike. He’s the future of the franchise for sure, but is the future now? Gabbert is making it look like he can push for David Garrard’s starting quarterback job right away…Connected to this is Garrard’s status with the Jaguars. If Gabbert can prove that he’s ready for real NFL reps, then the Jaguars would strongly consider cutting Garrard and his $8 million salary.

2.) Impounded Marcedes- Pro Bowl tight end Marcedes Lewis is holding out for a new contract. How long will he wait until the Jaguars take care of him? As one of just two proven receiving targets (Mike Thomas being the other,) hopefully not too long.

3.) Pot Roast Needs To Be Put In The Ronco- Defensive Tackle Terrance Knighton came to training camp overweight, which many thought would happen. As the cornerstone of the Jaguars’ defense, his ability to get in shape is pivotal.

4.) Knees To Know-  All-Pro running back Maurice Jones-Drew and starting defensive end Aaron Kampman both had their seasons cut short due to knee injuries last year. How will they bounce back?

5.) New Faces on Defense- With so many big time free agent additions like linebackers Paul Posluszny and Clint Session, and safety Dawan Landry, it will be interesting to monitor how these new work together and if they can improve what was a pitiful defense last season.
