Finally, David Garrard, the starting QB of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the past four seasons, has been dismissed from the team. It is no secret that Garrard was not well liked by a very large quantity of the Jaguars fanbase, often citing his inconsistent play and his happy-go-lucky demeanor as the grounds of their vexation. With the news of Garrard getting the boot, ticket sales could increase. As a matter of fact, they have increased. The season opener sold about 800 more tickets in the span of a day, leaving 6,513 tickets left to sell.

As much as I would not like to admit it, there are many people in Jacksonville who would not buy tickets since Garrard was the starting QB. However, this will be their time to put up or shut up. The first home game is to not only be the tenth anniversary of 9/11, but the start of a new era. It should not that hard of a sell,  the Jaguars have among the lowest prices in the league, the Jaguars got rid of Garrard and they have gone out to sign a bunch of free agents that will make the team better. It's GO time people, it's time to step up!
