As reported by Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union, Jacksonville Jaguars GM Gene Smith wasted no time addressing the WR issues by signing WR Chastin West from the Green Bay Packers' practice squad. This move probably came as a bit of insurance since both Jason Hill and Kassim Osgood are nursing injuries.
Chastin West went to college at Fresno State and went undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft. However, despite being on a roster loaded with talent at the wide receiver position, he managed to stick on the roster for two years by making plays like this in the preseason. He runs a 4.53 40-time, so he doesn't really have burn speed, but he does provide solid depth. Now word has been given yet on who has been cut to put West on the roster.
