The 26-year-old receiver was cut by the St. Louis Rams on Monday and has agreed to terms with the Jaguars, according to a source close to Sims-Walker.
Sims-Walker (6-2, 214) played in Jacksonville from his rookie season in 2008 through last year but was not brought back and signed with the Rams in the offseason.
He was the Jaguars’ leading receiver in 2009 with 869 yards and would be a welcomed addition as a low-risk, high-reward signing.
Sims-Walker’s Twitter activity matches with the info that Jaguars 101 has received from its source, as he tweeted “Duuuvvvvvaaaallllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!” on Tuesday afternoon.
Update: Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union has reconfirmed this report, writing that Sims-Walker is flying to Jacksonville to officially sign with the Jaguars.Tags: Football, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Jaguars, Mike Sims-Walker, NFL, St. Louis
