The Jacksonville Jaguars defense has taken yet another blow as Derek Cox was placed on IR, ending his season. With the loss of Cox, the Jags defense has lost both of it's starting cornerbacks. in consecutive weeks and have a grand total of 17 players on IR. In case you're wondering, that is the most in the league and I believe that you can only put 18 players on IR.That is seriously not good with 6 more weeks to go in the season.

Ashton Youboty and Williams Middleton are expected to be the starting cornerbacks for the rest of the year. If you are completely underwhelmed by those names, trust me, you're not alone. If you want to see this in a positive light,  you can think of these next 6 games as auditions. If one or both of them play well, then the Jags won't really have to worry much about addressing the cornerback position in the draft. If they both stink it up, the Jags would probably be less likely to let go of Rashean Mathis.  Dan LeFevour was signed off of the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad after being being selected in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He is the MAC's all-time leader in total offense, sutrpassing former Jaguars QB Byron Leftwich. LeFevour is probably expected to be the third string QB behind Blaine Gabbert and Luke McCown. He'll probably eventually replace McCown if the Jaguars decide to let him walk as a free agent in the offseason.
