After announcing the firing of head coach Jack Del Rio on Tuesday Jacksonville Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver will be selling the team to business man Shahid Khan.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news of the sale on Twitter this morning and First Coast News said that Kahn was the one purchasing the Jaguars.

Weaver was responsible for bringing the Jaguars to Jacksonville in the mid 1990s and has been adamant in keeping the team in the city despite constant speculation of the team moving to Los Angeles.

Early reports indicate that Kahn will keep the team in Jacksonville, but Los Angeles talk will surely be brought up in the coming weeks.

The Jaguars also extended Gene Smith's contract for three years, adding to an already busy day. Jaguars 101 will have more on that topic later today.
