The roster moves keep on coming for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Cornerback Will Middleton–who was starting for injured corners Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox–was placed on injured reserve because of a knee problem. That makes three Jacksonville cornerbacks on IR now.
According to the Associated Press, the Jaguars signed cornerback David Jones to a contract:
"Jones played in 16 games, with five starts, last season for Jacksonville. He spent the 2011 preseason with the club. He was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 3 and reached an injury settlement a week later."
Middleton had started six games for the Jaguars and was exceeded expectations as a replacement.
In order to make room for Middleton on IR, the Jaguars had to cut receiver Mike Sims-Walker, according to Big Cat Country.
Sims-Walker was brought in mid-season after being released by the St. Louis Rams and wasn't expected to be on the team's roster next year.
