Here are three matchups to watch on Sunday as the Jacksonville Jaguars face off against the slumping Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
3. RB Maurice Jones-Drew v. Bucs Linebackers
If Mojo gets the upper hand, it could be a long day for the Bucs defense, which has been struggling throughout the year.Setting up the play-action would be a serious help for Blaine Gabbert and who knows? Maybe Blaine's offensive success can carry over into the second half this time. For the sake of my sanity, I sure hope so.
Ashton Youboty got lit up like the Griswald house on Monday Night. The Bucs are another slumping offense coming into Jacksonville. Youboty needs to rebound and keep Josh Freeman from getting back on his groove and tear up the Jaguars secondary. However, it won't matter if he covers Williams like Revis if the pass erush isn't there. That leads us to our last matchup.
1. DE Jeremy Mincey v. LT Donald Penn
Most of all, Jeremy Mincey needs to win some matchups against Donald Penn in one on one matchups. The main reason Drew Brees was tearing up the defense was the pass rush. Especially after John Chick broke his leg as Jared Gaither mauled him. Mincey has disappeared over the past few weeks. I don't know what happened to him, but he needs to step it up unless the Jags want to get steamrolled twice within one week.
