The wheel of misfortune seems to be ever-turning for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they place Aaron Kampman on IR. After coming back from his first ACL injury in 2010, he couldn't repeat the effort this year, only managing to be active for 3 games this year and not recording a single tackle in any of them. Sadly, this could be the end of Kampman's reign as a Jaguar, since the defense played very well, even with him being off of the field for most of the season. Since the Reserve roster was fgull, the Jaguars had to cut Mr. Colorado School of the Mines, Marc Schiechl. The Jaguars have also signed Colin Cloherty to the active roster from Brown.
With Schiechl's departure, that leaves the "designated pass rusher" spot open for John Chick next year. It shouldn't be a surprise, since Chick has been a monstrous force on third downs. How much of an impact has he made? Going into this week, the Jaguars have forced the second most 3 and out drives in the league, only behind the Cincinnati Bengals. That also means that Aaron Morgan might be next on the cut list if someone gets injured.
