The Jacksonville Jaguars might have some more turnover on their coaching staff before the season is over.
Offensive coordinator and current quarterbacks coach Dirk Koetter has reportedly become the lead candidate for the vacant University of Hawaii head coaching position, according to CBS Sports.
The report states that Koetter was one of 30 coaches who applied for the job when it became vacant.
Koetter has been with the Jaguars since 2007. He stayed on Jacksonville’s staff after head coach Jack Del Rio was fired earlier this season.
Taking the position would be wise for Koetter, as the Jaguars will likely look to replace interim head coach Mel Tucker at the end of the season, thus creating a new coaching staff and potentially leaving Koetter jobless.Tags: Dirk Koetter, Football, Hawaii, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Jaguars, Mel Tucker, NFL
