This is Jones-Drew's third-consecutive appearance on the AFC squad. The last Jacksonville player to accomplish that feat was defensive tackle Marcus Stroud in 2003-05.
Voting consists of 1/3 fan voting, 1/3 coach voting and 1/3 player voting.
Jones-Drew currently leads the NFL with 1,437 rushing yards. He's averaging 4.5 yards per carry and has eight touchdowns for an offense that features very little talent outside of the mighty might running back.
No other Jaguars were named to the Pro Bowl. Certainly being 4-11 doesn't help the cause, but the Jaguars only have a few standouts this year. Linebacker Paul Posluszny has 115 tackles and would be a deserving candidate if he played for a better team.
Fullback Greg Jones is listed as a second alternate for the AFC, while RB/FB Montell Owens is the first special teams alternate. Kicker Josh Scobee is the third kicking alternate.
Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens and Arian Foster of the Houston Texans are the two other running backs on the AFC Pro Bowl roster. Jones-Drew will be on the second team.
The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, Jan. 29 at Aloha Bowl (Honolulu, Hawaii).
