It has been a quiet Wednesday as Shahid Khan has officially become the new owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. With all of the talk about the head coaching search, around town and around the league, the official start of Khan's reign has been overlooked. However, I guess it isn't too bad, since the Jaguars are just looking at coaches to interview. There are the first wave of coaches that are being interviewed: Such as Rob Chudzinski, Mike Mularkey, and Brian Schottenheimer as well as newer names such as Mike McCoy and Bill O'Brien. Mr. Khan will probably help interview the coaches along with GM Gene Smith. It is quite obvious that an offensive mind is a major priority for the new owner and for good reason. One can only hope that the Jags can come up with the right head coach for the job, or else there might not be a team in Jacksonville in the next 5 or 6 years.
