As reported by Alfie Crow, the Jacksonville Jaguars are interviewing former Florida and Illinois coach Ron Zook for the vacant Special Teams Coaching Job. It appears that he does have prior NFL coaching experience as a Special Teams coach. He was the special teams coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1996-1998. It is pretty obvious that owner Shahid Khan had a hand in this. It is a well-known fact that he is an alumnus of the University of Illinois where Zook has coached for the past 7 years. Either way, it seems like a decent decision to me. It's not like special teams is that hard to coach, especially with two aces like Kassim Osgood and Montell Owens and at worst you might draw in some interest from Gator fans (I wouldn't hold my breath though).Tags: Football, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Jaguars, Jaguars, Kassim Osgood, Montell Owens, NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers, Ron Zook, Shahid Khan
