Before we prematurely, close the book on Rashean Mathis' career in Jacksonville, Mathis might have a few more years left in the tank. It seems that his knee is healing ahead of schedule and that he could be fuilly healed by the time the season starts. As you may recall, Mathis tore his ACL in the first matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. If the Jaguars do decide to retain Mathis, they should probably make it a two year deal and start looking at some more corners to develop. Sure, William Middleton looked good, as did Kevin Rutland and Morgan Trent, but one has to wonder how they would fare in man coverage on the other side of Derek Cox.  Plus, with this pass-happy league, you can never have enough decent cornerbacks.
