Height: 6-5

Weight: 266

Draft Stock: He will probably be gone by the middle of the second round. The Jaguars seem to like him, so he might be off of the board when the they pick at #38..

Overview

Chandler Jones is a lengthy defensive end from Syracuse. He is pretty athletic and disruptive, but he doesn't get the gaudy sack numbers because he played in a 3-4 defense. His two brothers are heavily involved with contact sports. One of them is a famous UFC Fighter (Jon "Bones" Jones) and he routinely works out with him. His other brother, Art Jones is a defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens.

Career Highlight

6 tackles, 2 sacks, and a pass defensed against the West Virginia Mountaineers. He doesn't consistently use leverage, although he can hold the point of attack pretty well. His speed rush isn't much to gawk at, but he does chase down running backs 10-15 yards downfield, which is always nice. He is If you add dreadlocks, you'd have Austen Lane. He plays very similar to Mr. Bringing the Pain, but so far, that hasn't translated to success at the NFL level. although, to be fair, Lane hasn't had much of a chance to show his worth and he may just break out in 2012.
