- The Jaguars had mini camp practice today and it seems that WRs Jarett Dillard and Cecil Shorts stood out with Dillard catching everything that came his way. However, while there were ups, there were also some downs. After making a spectacular downfield catch, Dillard ran a poor route that resulted in a pick six by Drew Coleman, which made Jerry Sullivan understandably angry. Speaking of anger, Sullivan is said to also yell like Joe Cullen, which will be a treat for those who attend the training camp practices.
- It seems that Maurice Jones-Drew is absent from camp because he wants a new contract. To be honest, can you really blame him? He was the only source of offense for the Jaguars last year, facing constant 8 or 9-man fronts and still managed to lead the league in rushing. To have Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, and Chris Johnson to get paid more money than him probably wouldn't make him very happy.
- It seems that RT Eben Britton was running with the starters during the practices which is a good sign. Hopefully, it stays that way.
- WR Taylor Price has suffered a stress fracture in his left foot and he will be out for the rest of the offseason. Price was acquired off of waivers after being cut by New England. It's an unfortunate setback, but it happens.
