Overview
Ryan Tannehill is an athletic quarterback from Texas A&M. He originally played at wide receiver in his freshman and sophomore season and he converted to a quarterback and threw for over 5,000 yards and 42 touchdowns in two seasons. He is going to need some work, but he could eventually become a great quarterback in the NFL.
Career Highlight
25-37 for 415 yards, 6 TDs and 1 INT against Baylor. Tannehill is certainly athletic, being able to throw nice passes while on the run, but you can also see that he needs a bit of fine tuning. He tends to lock onto receivers (Like that Swope guy, who I don't mind seeing in a teal uniform next year), his arm strength isn't very impressive and most of his passes are within 10-15 yards of the line of scrimmage like bubble screens, shovel passes, comeback routes. It is typical spread quarterbacking, and I don't think his game translates well to the NFL level. Still, he is raw and he might eventually become a pretty good quarterback, but he must sit for a year.
