The Jaguars announce the release of veteran defensive end Aaron Kampman. Played last two seasons with club.

In a bit of a downer to an otherwise happy day, the Jacksonville Jaguars have cut ties with DE Aaron Kampman. Kampman signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in 2010 after spending most of his career with the Green Bay Packers. He played well until he tore his ACL in November of 2010. Since then, he has barely played in any games or participated in any practices, and when he was able to play in any games, he was an ineffective shell of his former self. It's sad to see him go, but with the $5 million cap hit that he creates, the Jags were forced to let him go.
