The Jacksonville Jaguars and Josh Scobee are not any closer to a long-term deal. One has to wonder what is taking so long. Scobee is obviously frustrated, the team is not in dire financial straits, and there is still a good amount of time until July 16th, which is when long term contracts can no longer be negotiated for franchise tagged players. Also adding hot coals to the fire is the recent deal for Broncos kicker, Matt Prater, who was put up similar stats compared to Scobee and he was also franchise tagged by his team. One has to hope that this issue will be resolved quickly or else things will start to get ugly around February.Tags: Football, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Jaguars, Jaguars, Josh Scobee, NFL
