The Jacksonville Jaguars waied Safety Jeremiah Brown and signed CB Mike Holmes to the roster. Brown was impressive during the early part of training camp, but he sustained a series of concssions and was ineffective. Mike Holmes has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and grew up in Jacksonville

Furthermore, the Jaguars have claimed LB Nate Bussey from waivers and made room for him by releasing WR/KR Charles Gilbert. Bussey was a 7th round pick of te New Orleans Saints in the 2011 NFL Draft who managed to stick around on their practice squad for a year before getting cut.
