The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that they will play one home game for the next four years in London, England. This announcement comes about a week after the St. Louis Rams dropped out of the running. Jaguars owner Shad Khan has expressed his ambitions to make the Jaguars into a global brand. These trips to London are a big step in that direction.

While this does mean that there is one less trip to make to Everbank Field for the next four years, the positives outweigh the negatives. It increases the exposure of the team, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This will possibly bring new Jaguars fans, new businesses, and new tourists to Northeast Florida (and money) . The trips to London will also decrease the price of season tickets, which will help those who are still struggling in this tough economy.
